North Adelaide
North Adelaide is one of the city's most prestigious and characterful suburbs, a leafy heritage enclave wrapped entirely by the green Adelaide Park Lands. Elegant bluestone villas and tree-lined streets give it a refined, village-like charm, just minutes from the CBD.

North Adelaide has two dining strips, both an easy walk away. O'Connell and Melbourne Street both offer cafes, historic pubs, restaurants and wine bars, just waiting to be explored. For dinner, don't miss Yakisan (Japanese), Ammos (Greek) or Ruby Red Flamingo (Italian). For coffee and brunch, try The Flying Fig, Veneziano or Shadow Baking. We're always happy to share our local favourites when you arrive.

The best of North Adelaide is right outside the door. The cottage is wrapped by the Adelaide Park Lands, so a morning walk or cycle along the River Torrens puts you in the city in minutes. Adelaide Zoo and the Botanic Garden are within walking distance, and Adelaide Oval, with its rooftop climb and stadium tours, is just around the corner. Further afield, Glenelg's beaches, the McLaren Vale cellar doors and the Adelaide Hills are a short drive, with the Barossa about an hour away. An ideal base for both a city break and a wine-country getaway.

Hard to beat for a match, concert or show. Adelaide Oval is on the doorstep, so on event days you can leave the car and walk to the cricket, the footy or a summer concert. Memorial Drive alongside hosts tennis and live music, and the city's major venues are a short walk across the Park Lands. Adelaide comes alive in February and March for the Fringe, Adelaide Festival and WOMADelaide, and the cottage is the perfect base to be close to it all without the crowds at your door.
